WELCOME TO DREAMFORCE 2025: DAY 1

Cloud Adoption Solutions will be coming to you live every day of Dreamforce 2025 with insightful blogs, live chats, and the latest on all things Salesforce!

12:15 pm, WELCOME TO DREAMFORCE

Overview by Sam Teele

Dreamforce kicked off with a bang in San Francisco, CA with its Pre-Keynote session led by Jon Moore, Director of Global Public Sector Marketing, who greeted the thousands in attendance and “more than 10 million watching around the world.”

To little surprise, Jon began the festivities by discussing the transformative power of Agentic AI before sending us off to Hawaii (actually just to the other side of the room).

We were serenaded by a lovely traditional Hawaiian song played on a ukulele, dedicated to the Benioff Ohana, meaning “family,” who call the Aloha State home.

Jon continued by introducing Stephane Moulec, CTO of Good360, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization helping get funds and goods to communities in need. They focus on keeping valuable items out of landfills and into the hands of people who can use them. They also play a key role in disaster relief efforts, such as following the recent fires in California.

Good360 is utilizing Agentforce to reduce the amount of time it takes for people in need to reach them following a crisis.

Next was Luis Aqueros, COO of Caixabank, who discussed how they are using Agentic AI like Agentforce to better serve their customers, saying that AI has transformed every aspect of their business process:

“Agentforce is transforming the way we interact with our customers. It’s extremely scalable and easy to implement. We have human advisors and Agentforce as an Agentic Commercial Advisor working together for the benefit of our customers.”

Then came Stephanie Berner, Chief Customer Officer of Smartsheet, who continued the Agentforce theme. She explained how their team has embedded it into their processes and systems:

“We put the help, the agents, right in the hands of our customers in the areas they work. It pulls from our Salesforce, our database, and our support history to speed up the way we are able to help our thousands of enterprise customers.”

Jon Moore then introduced Amy Bauer, Director of Product Management. Amy unveiled Slackbot, now integrated across Salesforce platforms “to transform information into insight, and insight into action.”

Slackbot is set to hit the market in January.

Next was Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT, who discussed how their team uses Slack and Agentforce as part of their innovation process:

“SaaS isn’t dead. It’s advancing at incredible speeds. AI is incredible because it allows you to do the work in between work. It stitches things together and eventually will be able to take actions for you as it advances, supercharging enterprise businesses.”

Jon Moore closed by celebrating the “Trailblazers, learners, thinkers, and doers who drive the change we are trying to make in the world.”

He highlighted how these Trailblazers, and now newly coined Agentblazers, are the backbone of everything Salesforce does before introducing Qurat-ul-Ain Tariq, recipient of the coveted Golden Hoodie.

3:00pm: Hands-on Training: Explore Agentforce for Sales Coaching

Overview by Sam Teele

Things are moving fast with Agentforce. The coaches started by saying when you make purchases, you should always do so based on what’s available right now, since the platform is changing so quickly.

Coaches Teo and Harenne started with the basics:

What is Agentforce?

It’s Salesforce’s new agentic AI platform. It can automate tasks, answer questions, and interact across channels like email or WhatsApp. The idea is to make people more effective in their roles.

They mentioned there are lots of types of agents. Today’s call is focused on the Sales Coach. Other examples include the SDR agent, which can help send emails.

The Sales Coach gives real-time feedback, helps reps practice objection handling, and comes with a bunch of out-of-the-box coaching scenarios that can be customized for your company’s needs.

After explaining the benefits, we go back to Teo Marcello, who leads the hands-on training part.

They give everyone access to a sandbox demo version of Agentforce to play around with it. The first task is turning it on, granting permissions, then going into the Sales Coach section to build out your own custom coach.

At the top left, under Setup, you can configure everything for your agents. You click on Agentforce for Sales to start building your Sales Coach.

When you activate Agentforce, it automatically turns on Einstein’s Generative AI features.

They showed how you can grant permissions to different users and agents. You can even add the Sales Coach to a Lightning Web Component.
They emphasized creating unique users and permissions for each agent to prevent them from accessing things they shouldn’t — jokingly saying to stop them from “going rogue.”

Next, they demo creating an agent from scratch — it only takes a few minutes. Not much customization needed to get started.
Once built, you activate the agent and give it permission to use your camera and microphone.

Inside the Sales Coach Practice section, there are several pitch practice scenarios already loaded. You can test different approaches and get real-time feedback.
The Sales Coach then provides a summary of the call, feedback, and suggested next steps so the rep knows what to work on next.

Then it got a bit wild, they showed that it can actually simulate live calls with voice interactions. It throws real objections at you and even uses different tones and personalities, some friendly, others more difficult or even “sassy.”
Organizations can customize the Sales Coach’s personality to mimic the kinds of prospects their reps face. These can be tested in the builder before rolling them out.

It can also simulate chat conversations for text-based training, again with different personalities and prompts.

In the setup area, there’s a large data library full of documentation, tips, and best practices for customizing your agents and improving performance.

End of Session:

Overall, it was a very demo-heavy session. The main takeaway is that Agentforce’s Sales Coach can be built and deployed quickly, provides instant coaching feedback, and can simulate real-world sales interactions with adjustable personalities and scenarios.

Thank you for being part of Day 1 at Dreamforce. Stay tuned for our Day 2 recap tomorrow afternoon!
