What’s New with Salesforce? 

Agentforce Expands with Summer ’25 Release

Salesforce’s Summer ’25 release has taken a big step forward in the world of agentic AI, enhancing how teams can work with data, customers, and internal processes.

Key Enhancements to Agentforce — and Why They Matter

1. Multimodal Support

Agentforce can now interpret and respond not just to text prompts, but also to images, documents, and other data formats.

  • What this means: A service agent could upload a photo of a product defect and have Agentforce generate a case summary, recommend troubleshooting steps, or flag warranty eligibility automatically.
  • Business impact: Cuts down on manual data entry, speeds up service response times, and reduces the chance of human error when translating customer-provided visuals into actionable data.

2. Agent Surfaces (Visual Interaction Layer)

Salesforce has introduced “Agent Surfaces,” which are cleaner, more visual interfaces that make it easier for users to interact with AI agents.

  • What this means: Instead of text-only chats, users can now work with guided workflows, cards, and dashboards that show the AI’s reasoning and options.
  • Business impact: Boosts user adoption of AI inside Salesforce by making it less intimidating and more transparent, especially for non-technical employees. This translates into faster rollout and higher ROI on Salesforce investments.

3. Web Search Integration in the Agentforce Data Library

Agentforce can now pull from external sources beyond Salesforce—integrating live web data into its responses.

  • What this means: A sales rep preparing for a client call could instantly pull the latest company news, stock movements, or press releases—without leaving Salesforce.
  • Business impact: Elevates sales and service teams into trusted advisors by equipping them with up-to-the-minute context. This reduces prep time and ensures conversations are more strategic and personalized.

Q: How can I start looking into AgentForce?

A: To get started, we definitely recommend Trailhead. Search for modules and projects related to “AgentForce” or “Agentic AI” and you will see tons of results with badges and great trail mixes!

These resources provide step-by-step guides for building your first agent, configuring it with specific topics and actions, and deploying it to your Salesforce environment. This low-code approach is great for all levels of experience and could be an awesome way to just kick things off.

Of course right now Salesforce has huge marketing campaigns with dozens of case studies and interesting videos, so don’t forget to check out the official Salesforce website!
