3:00 PM – 3:50 PM: Tableau Keynote 

Tableau’s Keynote revolved around new features being rolled out to bridge the decision gap. In line with many other keynotes at Dreamforce thus far, AI was touted as this bridge by Teri Hatfield, CRO of Tableau.

What really drew me in was Hatfield’s emphasis that the sheer quantity of data in the world is exploding, from 2 zettabytes to 2,000 by 2035 (a single zettabyte is a billion terabytes). How do we digest this data? Hatfield again points out that humans simply cannot make sense of data this complex and vast. In come the agents. In the live demo, continuous tweaking of the agents was shown to be an easy task that most admins could pull off.

For Tableau users, this all can be seen as bringing Tableau into line with the direction of Salesforce at large, in what they call the Agentic Era.

Anthony Moisant, CIO of Indeed, joined Tableau for their presentation to show off some features relevant to such a large company, with Tableau’s Slack integration turning discussions into directions for AI data insights.

To wrap the show up, Tableau’s Hackathon winners were given the spotlight. It’s always a joy to see community members highlighted for their creative solutions to such a large audience, this is one of my favorite things Salesforce does.

In a significant announcement, Salesforce revealed that what was previously known as “Financial Services Cloud” has been officially rebranded as “Agentforce Financial Services.” This change is more than just a name—it signifies a fundamental leap in capability and focus.

The core differentiator in Agentforce Financial Services is the powerful use of contextual client data to power the new agentic features. This data is leveraged to build intelligent, pre-configured templates that drastically simplify the creation and deployment of AI agents. The platform now offers so much more valuable information and agentic help than before, making the process of building a tailored agent with these pre-made templates incredibly easy for firms of any size.

Real-World Impact and Client-Centricity

The promise of this technology was brought to life during a compelling demo showcasing ABSA, a large banking corporation. Attendees were able to witness firsthand ABSA’s positive experience utilizing Agentforce Financial Services to transform their customer interactions.

Agentforce is actively redefining the standard for client communication and preparation. By providing in-depth views and operating as a sophisticated AI assistant, the platform handles the heavy lifting of data synthesis and routine tasks.

This crucial support allows financial advisors and wealth managers to dedicate their energy to what matters most: focusing on delivering a better customer experience and cultivating a deeper, closer client relationship. It shifts the advisor’s role from data gatherer and administrator to strategic partner and trusted confidant.
