What’s New with Salesforce?

Summer ’25 Highlights

The Summer ’25 Release is here, bringing powerful enhancements designed to help teams work smarter and deliver better experiences across the Salesforce ecosystem. Whether you’re on the Sales, Service, or Platform side of the house, this release is packed with tools to boost productivity, improve AI integration, and enhance overall usability.

One of the standout themes this summer is AI everywhere. Einstein Copilot continues to expand, offering more natural language-powered actions—from generating pipeline summaries to creating email drafts. Copilot is now deeply embedded within Salesforce apps, enabling users to interact with their data in more intuitive ways. Also worth noting: admins can now more easily configure Copilot behaviors using the new Copilot Builder—no code required.

In addition to AI, Data Cloud and automation get a serious upgrade. You can now use Data Cloud segments in Flow, making it easier to trigger journeys and processes based on customer behavior in real time. And with enhancements to Flow Builder, teams can build faster and with fewer clicks thanks to improved UI and reusable logic components.

There are also big wins for platform customization and user experience. Dynamic Forms are expanding to more standard objects like Activities and Cases, giving admins more control over layout and visibility. Plus, Permission Set Groups can now include expiration dates—making temporary access easier to manage and reducing long-term risk. These small but mighty changes can have a big impact on security and user adoption.

User Adoption Research: Details from my PhD Research

 Diffusion of Innovations Theory

Qualitative research: it sounds scary, right? With quantitative research, you use assessments, you get responses, you find numbers, you draw conclusions, wipe, wipe, CLAP.

After I conducted all of my interviews about CRM user adoption, the responses had to be coded for evaluation. One of the most interesting tables was on “Suggestions for Improvement,” which, let’s be honest, we all want to have in order to make Salesforce better!

The Selective Code of “Suggestions for Improvement” had Axial Codes of:

  • Make CRM more user friendly
  • Connectivity with other systems
  • Capacity building

and then within those Axial Codes, they had Open Codes.  For example, the “Make CRM more user friendly” Axial Code had Open Codes of:

  • Easy to navigate
  • Problems in batch entries
  • Reducing number of steps
  • Understandable titles

Do I suggest you need to go this deep with your Salesforce users…? Not necessarily.  But understanding WHY they’re not adopting Salesforce, or what would make them adopt it prior to implementing an entire new system, feature, or process, will certainly aid in overall user adoption.

Q: What is the difference between Salesforce partners? How can I tell who is the right fit for my company?

A: The short answer is; not a lot!

Most partners are pretty similar! We are all connected through our goals of helping our clients have the best experience with their Salesforce org as possible.

The big differentiator? What is that partner’s focus! Most Salesforce partners have a specific focus or area of focus that they prefer or have the most experience in. For us at Cloud Adoption Solutions that’s Life Sciences and regulated industries. When looking for a partner be sure to look at the app exchange to see what kind of companies and projects they have worked on the most!

Another difference is in process. A lot of partners have different styles and processes that they prefer to follow. The best advice is to meet a few and see how they work with your visions and goals. This will ensure the best fit!
