Life Sciences Dreamin’ 2026: That’s a Wrap
On October 8, the Life Sciences Dreamin’ community came together at Fairwold Mansion outside Philadelphia for one of our strongest editions yet. A condensed schedule packed with keynotes, panels and breakout sessions, followed by networking and live music, made for a full and energetic day.
What makes this event different is who’s in the room. Attendees are mostly commercial, operations, marketing and sales leaders from across clinical research and biotech rather than vendors, so the conversations centered on real problems and practical solutions. Thank you to Rosalind Beasley of Dot Compliance for the keynote, and to every panelist and speaker who shared their expertise on stage.
A special thank you to our sponsors: SpagsCorp Consulting, CloudFulcrum, Eigen X, FocalCXM, Cloud Adoption Solutions, Retentional, the Life Sciences Sales Lab podcast, and Jason Anthony Group. And to Shannon J. Gregg, PhD, and the team behind the scenes, thank you for leading the charge and making it all happen.

User Adoption Research: Details from my PhD Research
CRM Governance is Critical to Adoption Success
Whether managing core CRM workflows or evaluating new platform automation, governance remains the foundation of long-term user adoption. Here is a look back at key findings from my PhD research:
The last sub-theme, or axial code, “Governance of CRM,” was made by combining three open codes. The governance of CRM was an important consideration. Many respondents stated that they have created an internal committee to manage and govern the CRM implementation and adoption issues in the organization.
As one of the respondents stated, “There is an internal committee at the organization that manages the database, and it’s mostly the team that kind of owns that.” One respondent also mentioned that the sales manager is looking after the CRM in their organization. As stated by the respondent, “The person that oversees is our sales manager.” However, one respondent mentioned that their governance structure is unclear, and that impacted the efficiency of the operations at their organization. In the words of this participant: “So you get to that point, you have no governance, there’s no, it was. It’s interesting, because you’re like, we’re a capacity builder, we should know, we should have those systems in place.”

Advice from an Expert
Send your Qs to info@cloudadoption.solutions
Q: As our team builds more record-triggered flows and subflows, our Flow list in Setup is getting messy and hard to navigate. Is there a better way to categorize and organize them?
A: This is one of the most welcome quality-of-life updates in the Winter ’27 Release!
Salesforce introduced Flow Tags, allowing admins to classify flows using custom, categorized tags directly inside Flow Builder and the Automation app. Here is how to use them to streamline your org’s governance:
- Establish Tag Categories: Set up high-level categories in Setup (e.g., Department, Object, or Automation Type).
- Tag Subflows: Create a dedicated “Subflow” tag category so your team can immediately distinguish reusable subflows from parent record-triggered flows.
- Filter Unused Resources: Pair Flow Tags with the new Unused Resources filter inside Flow Builder to quickly surface orphan variables or obsolete elements and clean up technical debt.
