What’s New with Salesforce?
All eyes on Agent Force
The world’s #1 CRM is generating a ton of buzz about its newest innovation, Agent Force, a new autonomous business assistant that will excite businesses.
Salesforce agents are AI-powered digital assistants designed to automate tasks by interpreting data, executing actions, and adhering to safety guidelines. These agents handle customer-facing activities—like answering return queries—and internal tasks, such as advising sales teams using client purchase histories.
Easily created with minimal or no code through tools like Slack inputs or audio snippets, agents leverage Atlas, Salesforce’s AI reasoning system, and Data Cloud for business-specific insights. Embedded within Salesforce, they outperform generic AI systems by aligning with a company’s unique data and workflows
Ensuring Security
Salesforce prioritizes security by keeping business data within its own system, minimizing the risk of leaks compared to external AI tools. Zero-copy data retrieval ensures secure access to external sources without compromising them.
To combat hallucinations, Salesforce agents operate with strict guardrails, using only verified data provided by the customer. While all major AI providers emphasize their security measures, Salesforce’s embedded, business-specific approach adds an extra layer of trust and control.
Empowering Nonprofits with AI
Salesforce has unveiled the Agents for Impact Accelerator, a groundbreaking program designed to help nonprofits harness the power of AI to enhance operational efficiency and drive community impact. The initiative offers $2 million in grants, access to Salesforce technology, and tailored coaching over 18 months. This effort empowers organizations to automate critical tasks like donor management and disaster response, enabling them to scale their missions more effectively.
Recognizing that AI solutions are often out of reach for many nonprofits, Salesforce is bridging this gap with grants, technology, and expert coaching.

User Adoption Research: Details from my PhD Research
CRM Governance is Critical to Adoption Success
The last sub-theme, or axial code, “Governance of CRM,” was made by combining three open codes. The governance of CRM was an important consideration. Many respondents stated that they have created an internal committee to manage and govern the CRM implementation and adoption issues in the organization.
As one of the respondents stated, “There is an internal committee at the organization that manages the database, and it’s mostly the team that kind of owns that.” One respondent also mentioned that the sales manager is looking after the CRM in their organization. As stated by the respondent, “The person that oversees is our sales manager.” However, one respondent mentioned that their governance structure is unclear, and that impacted the efficiency of the operations at their organization. In the words of this participant: “So you get to that point, you have no governance, there’s no, it was. It’s interesting, because you’re like, we’re a capacity builder, we should know, we should have those systems in place.”

Q: When should I start looking into Agentforce?
A: Great Question!
The short answer? NOW!
Agentforce is really interesting and a very customer centered move for Salesforce. In theory it is going to make many businesses day to day much easier, using the power of AI for quick ready solutions. For now it is incredibly new, but has so much untapped potential. Like all technology, if you start late you miss the first wave of benefits, so getting ahead of it, working with a partner or your in-house admin to roll out its first iterations is a great way to see the value yourself!
