Life Sciences Dreamin’ Is Back
Thursday, 8 October 2026. Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, about thirty minutes outside Philadelphia.
Life Sciences Dreamin’ is a one day event for the sales, marketing and operations people who run commercial teams in clinical research and life sciences. The whole day is about one question: how do you actually get the most out of Salesforce and the sales and marketing technology sitting around it?
Not a product roadmap. Not a room full of admins talking about metadata. Real people from CROs, biotechs, site networks and eClinical companies talking about what they built, what it cost them, and what they would do differently.
What the day looks like
One day, one track. Everybody moves through the same material together, so the hallway conversation at lunch is about the session you just watched instead of the four you missed.
This event is a more intimate version of what you loved in 2024, based on your feedback. That is deliberate. It is small enough that you will meet most of the people there, and small enough that you can walk up to a speaker afterward and get a straight answer to your specific problem. We are also running a demo jam with products YOU have been asking about getting time on stage.
Why we are excited about this one
The interest this year has been something else. We started in Fort Lauderdale in 2023, ran Philadelphia in 2024, and spent 2025 doing smaller roadshow events alongside SCOPE and SCRS. Every one of those told us the same thing: this community wants a place to talk shop with people who understand the specific weirdness of selling and marketing in clinical research.
Fort Washington puts us right in the middle of the research corridor between New York and Philadelphia. For most of you, that is a drive rather than a flight.
Speakers and agenda are coming soon. If you own a number, a pipeline, a campaign or an ops function at a life sciences company, this day was built for you.

User Adoption Research: Details from my PhD Research
The Literature Review Process
The Literature Review process is a challenging and arduous one: the researcher must evaluate hundreds of peer-reviewed publications that tie to the study. The Literature Review Checklist “identifies state-of-the-art knowledge” in a very specific field, and writing a dissertation on CRM User Adoption had not quite been done before (and according to my research, has not been done since).
I found that I excluded way more sources than I included as I was researching literature. This process can be quite lonely, but in my case, it truly made me live and breathe the subject. I know all of you got sick of hearing me talk about it and think through it, but the work was worth it.
Here’s an excerpt from my dissertation:
“Only academic, peer-reviewed literature was evaluated for the purposes of this research study; however, it should be noted that many…organizations will choose a CRM system based not on academic information, but on information provided by CRM vendors and proprietary studies run in support of the software systems. The review of literature section is divided into bodies of literature related to CRM usage at nonprofit organizations and theories regarding CRM user adoption including Adult Learner Theory, Change Management Theory, and Diffusion of Innovations Theory.”

Advice from an Expert
Send your Qs to info@cloudadoption.solutions
Q: What is the Process Builder & Workflow Rules retirement, and what should I do?
A: Good question – Salesforce officially ended support for Workflow Rules and Process Builder on December 31, 2025, fully committing to Salesforce Flow as its sole declarative automation engine.
While your existing legacy automations will still run for now, you can no longer create new ones, and Salesforce no longer provides technical support, updates, or bug fixes for Process Builder or Workflows. Relying on them puts your org at risk of unexpected breaks whenever the platform updates!
To get the most out of your org, start by auditing your existing active rules and migrating them to Record-Triggered Flows. You can use Salesforce’s native Migrate to Flow tool in Setup for simple automations, but use this as an opportunity to clean house—consolidate multiple legacy processes on the same object into single, streamlined Flows, test them thoroughly in a Sandbox, and deactivate the old rules in Production.
