What’s New with Salesforce?
TDX Talks AI
Salesforce took over San Francisco last week for its TrailblazerDX (TDX) conference—not to be confused with Texas Dreamin’ (TXD)!
Billed as “the developer conference for the AI era,” TDX leaned heavily into artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on Salesforce’s Agent Force. The event drew around 7,000 in-person attendees and an estimated 20,000 virtual participants, many eager to explore how these emerging technologies can integrate into their businesses.
Sanjina Parulekar summed up the attendee mindset:
“They’re here to learn about these AI technologies so they can go back to their companies and say, ‘Hey, I know exactly how these technologies work, and we can use them for good within our business.’”
A major theme was Salesforce’s so-called “Holy Trinity” of Data, Apps, and Agents, which executives positioned as a unique offering in the market. The idea? That Salesforce AI agents will enhance real-time responses, issue escalation, and business process efficiency.
However, some attendees expressed frustration online that TDX felt more like a marketing push than a true developer conference—especially with the heavy promotion of Agent Force. Traditionally seen as the more technical counterpart to Dreamforce, the shift toward a sales-heavy agenda was met with some criticism.
For those seeking a more community-driven, hands-on experience, many in the ecosystem argue that Dreamin’ events provide better ROI—offering more education, deeper learning, and lower costs.

User Adoption Research: Details from my PhD Research
Change Management is CRITICAL
My dissertation research was focused on understanding CRM User Adoption. In my review of over 100 pieces of peer-reviewed literature (secondary research), and in my qualitative interviews (primary research), I found that three theories truly drive User Adoption: Change Management, Adult Learner, and Diffusion of Innovations.
Salesforce Trailhead has published a new module: Change Management for AI Implementation. In it, there are five primary people-related challenges for AI implementations that I would suggest are the same challenges for ANY implementation. Considering the People/Process/Technology Golden Triangle, the “people” are the most unpredictable and the most underutilized – users should always be engaged from the start, using basic principles of human-centered design.
I had a keynote at CenCal Dreamin’ covering this topic that you might find interesting; let me know what you think!

Q: How do I know when Salesforce is releasing changes?
A: We get this question a lot so don’t feel alone!
Most of our clients before joining with us have no clue when new releases happen, and usually will just see changes in their Salesforce and keep moving. We think it is really important to keep up with the releases for many reasons, so here are a few ways you can too!
- You should receive regular updates from Salesforce via email to your administrator. Whoever is listed with admin access in their Salesforce account should receive regular updates, as well as whoever is listed as the main contact for Salesforce to reach out to. However with all the emails we all receive these days, it’s easy for these to slip through the cracks.
- Linkedin is an excellent place to continue to receive updates. A very effective way to check is to simply search about it, and there will be hundreds of posts and breakdowns detailing new releases and how they may affect your organization.
- The most obvious: follow us here! We always include information about new releases here in our newsletter, as well as our youtube! Make sure you are subscribed to never miss out!
A huge piece of keeping your Salesforce org tidy and working correctly is understanding new releases so make sure you check you’re set up today!
