Hi, this is Cheyenne from Cloud Adoption Solutions, and I’m here to show you how to export data from your Salesforce org with the free Chrome extension Salesforce Inspector. This is a productivity tool for Salesforce administrators and developers to inspect data and metadata directly from the Salesforce UI.

Once you’ve installed the extension and you’re logged into your org, it will be visible as a small translucent arrow inside of a blue box on the upper right corner of your screen. From here open inspector and then click the Data Export button. In the query editor, enter your query according to the data you wish to export.

Salesforce Inspector is pretty cool because it will auto populate fields in a list below the query editor once you enter the name of the object. In this instance, we’re just going to export the ID name and email address from the contact object. Click the Export button, and your results will populate under the query editor.

The buttons above the results will allow you to copy the format that you need. Here we’ll use an Excel format and paste it into Google Sheet. Thanks for watching!
